The Electronic Lab Trainer is a highly versatile and advanced educational training system designed to provide students, educators, and researchers with a comprehensive platform for studying and experimenting with digital electronics. Built with precision and durability, this trainer is widely used in laboratories, engineering colleges, polytechnic institutes, and technical training centers, where practical learning is emphasized alongside theoretical knowledge.
Description
This trainer is powered through mains supply at 230V, 50Hz, ensuring compatibility with standard laboratory infrastructure. It incorporates regulated DC power supplies that offer flexibility and stability, including IC regulated 3V–15V and 3V–30V supplies at 500mA, along with fixed outputs of +5V/1A and -5V/500mA. Such a variety of power options allows users to work on multiple experiments without the need for additional external supplies, making it convenient for extended lab sessions. A built-in pulse generator with a range of 0–1 MHz provides precise signals compatible with both TTL and CMOS technologies, enabling learners to explore real-time testing of digital circuits and logic functions.
One of the most distinctive features of the Electronic Lab Trainer is its layout ensures that students can quickly connect, build, and analyze circuits without confusion. Connections are brought out through brass pins of 2mm dimension, ensuring reliability and durability during frequent use. The system includes a large solderless breadboard, consisting of 640 tie points on terminal strips and 200 tie points on distribution strips, totaling 840 tie points. This allows users to design and test complex circuits without the need for soldering, thereby saving time and ensuring reusability.
The trainer is further enhanced with built-in components such as logic inputs and outputs with 12-bit capacity, a buzzer for continuity testing, an inbuilt logic probe, low-frequency clock generator adjustable between 1Hz–10Hz, and a mono pulse generator for timing experiments. It also includes a 2-bit BCD to 7-segment indicator system for visual demonstration of binary inputs and outputs, making it especially valuable for learning number systems and code conversions. These integrated features make it a comprehensive platform for studying topics such as logic gates, Boolean algebra, combinational circuits, sequential circuits, counters, multiplexers, shift registers, encoders, and flip-flops.
Safety and durability are also well addressed, with a fuse provided for short-circuit protection, ensuring secure operation during experiments. The trainer is housed in a sturdy ABS plastic cabinet, designed for long-term institutional use. Its compact size of 12” x 10” makes it easy to handle and store, while still offering a large enough surface for comfortable circuit assembly. The kit is supplied with patch cords, an instruction manual, and optional accessories like CRO and additional IC components, further expanding its usability.
Optional plug-and-play modules extend the trainer’s capabilities even further, offering pre-configured modules for logic gates, binary adders, multiplexers, shift registers, counters, code converters, parity checkers, comparators, RAM, ALU, and more. These modules allow learners to directly plug into the trainer for guided experiments, saving setup time while ensuring accuracy.
The Electronic Lab Trainer is more than just a piece of equipment; it is a complete learning solution that bridges the gap between theory and practice in digital electronics. By offering a wide range of built-in features, high-quality design, and flexibility for expansion, it empowers students to develop hands-on expertise, making it an indispensable resource for laboratories focused on electronics education and training.
